"Participation and integration” network
In June 2013 the integration concept "At home in the District of Soest", which forms the framework for future integration work in the District of Soest, was passed by the district assembly. The concept was produced in conjunction with 140 participants from a range of organisations. This grouping established the district-wide "participation and integration" network for implementing the integration concept.
The network has a total of three constituent parts:
- network of cooperation partners
- network of district departments
- network of migrants' self-help organisations
This structure enables in-depth communication about current integration issues and the agreement of the cornerstones of the collaborative work. The joint integration conferences that are regularly organised enable more in-depth interaction between the three network groups.
At the working level topic-related working groups enhance the network.
The working outcomes of the whole "participation and integration" network will be reported in the "MaTIZ" magazine, which the Municipal Integration Centre intends to publish once or twice a year.
